How we check
Every claim is reviewed by a person — nothing is approved automatically. We also notify the business at the phone number and email already on the listing, so an attempt to claim a business by someone unconnected to it reaches the actual owner.
If we can match your email address to the business we can usually move quickly. If not, expect us to ask for something on letterhead, a licence, or a utility bill. It is a small amount of friction that stops a competitor taking over your phone number.
